Volunteers Spearhead Care Program for Individuals Living on the Streets of Georgetown

On October 12, 2014, the Foundation continued its mental health activities with a care program for individuals living on the streets of Georgetown. A team of GF volunteers distributed a hot meal, along with a care package consisting of a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, a hand towel, and toilet tissue.

The team met with, and offered encouragement and support to over one hundred and thirty individuals around Kitty Market, Bourda Market, and the Parliament Buildings. Many of the individuals encountered were struggling to deal with various forms of mental health problems, and were very grateful for the encouragement they received from the volunteers.

The Foundation would like to acknowledge and thank Mr. Gerard Khan for designing and spearheading this project, and Mr. Shirvington Hannays, whose generous financial donation covered all expenses associated with this project.
